Biology professor Edu is an idealistic man who moves with his son Lipe to the charming, fictional town of Nova Aliança, in Minas Gerais, in search of a better quality of life. But this relationship becomes unstable when Edu falls in love with the dreamy lawyer Clara, daughter of Lígia and the experienced lawyer Raul Gouveia. Edu is a single father and tries to always be present in Lipe's life, attempting to keep him away from his mother, Mariana, whose drug addiction prevented her from raising her son. Edu's future father-in-law, João Mourão, is the biggest businessman in Nova Aliança: he owns a farm, a dairy, a meatpacking plant, and a transportation company. João takes issue with Edu when he discovers that the young man is a strong defender of nature and environmental protection laws, which turns him into a rival in the fight for a stretch of virgin forest.

Nationwide was a BBC News and current affairs television programme which ran from 9 September 1969 to 5 August 1983. It was broadcast on BBC One each weekday following the early evening news. It followed a magazine format, combining political analysis and discussion with consumer affairs, light entertainment and sports reporting. It began on 9 September 1969, running between Tuesdays and Thursdays at 6.00pm, before being extended to five days a week in 1972. From 1976 until 1981 the start time was 5:55pm. The final edition was broadcast on 5 August 1983, and the following October it was replaced by Sixty Minutes. The long-running Watchdog programme began as a Nationwide feature. The light entertainment was quite similar in tone to That's Life!. Eccentric stories featured skateboarding ducks and men who claimed that they could walk on egg shells.. Richard Stilgoe performed topical songs.

One difference between this Kitaro and all of the others that came before him, is that this one has brown hair instead of the standard grayish silver.

The program debuted on September 4, 2012, and it is Harvey's second syndicated program in which he handles hosting duties, as he continues to host Family Feud at the same time. The series is taped in Chicago at the WMAQ studios. The show attracted 2.2 million viewers daily and, in January 2013, Steve Harvey was renewed for a second season. The series has since been renewed for three additional seasons through 2016.
