Overview

As Morimi Shizuka leisurely sips a hot drink at the front door, a masked office worker on his way to work coughs visibly as he passes by. Shizuka, a practicing doctor, lives with her father Shigeru (Iijima), a research doctor working at a university hospital, and her younger sister Mai, but there is no word on the whereabouts of the sisters' mother. Shigeru has been feeling unwell since the night before, and as she takes a morning bath, Mai blares out loud music with no thought for her father, leaving Shizuka speechless. Mai unilaterally tells her sister that she is bringing her boyfriend home that day, and although Shizuka is concerned about Shigeru, she goes to work. Morimi Clinic is run by Shizuka and nurse Hase Shu (Salmon). However, Shizuka does not at all betray the impression of being laid-back, and in fact, her mood accelerates.

Overview

Overview

Guerrilla fighter Lam Suet-fan is in charge of the operation which succeeds in crippling the traitorous activities of Ting Chuen. An infuriated Ting strikes back, swamping the occupied territory with spies and exposes the singer disguise of Lam's comrade Laura who is made his mistress. Through the discreet help from Ting's cousin Sai-kit who goes undercover as the traitor's house guest, a series of offensives are launched, resulting in heavy casualties in the Japanese camp. With pressure mounting on both sides, guerrilla leader Lady Spy No.1 entrusts the mission of bombing Ting's signal tower to Lam who will then lead the troop in retreat. The mission fails, leading to the arrest of Lam and Sai-kit. Laura puts her life at stake in order to accomplish the mission and before she expires, reveals herself to be their leader and names Lam her successor to lead the troop to its stronghold in the north. Overview

Hideo, the supposedly murdered son, returns having paid off his assassins. Hideo shoots and kills his father, but Kumi grabs the gun and kills Hideo so that she can inherit the family's fortune

It is sometimes decidedly difficult to get a little privacy on shipboard. Several times Jack Hardy almost reaches the proposal point with Marion Van Sickles, but each time the fates are against him. Marion and her mother are on their way home from a vacation in Europe and board the boat at Liverpool at the same time as Jack, who is very much struck by Marion's appearance. After a little flirtation on the boat, he believes that his feelings are returned and is about to propose. Just then mama comes along with Count Brainlesse, whom she wishes to marry Marion. The proposal is postponed. Again and again Jack tries to come to the point, being constantly interrupted by someone, either the count or mama, or the grouchy owner of the deck chair he has taken. First the grouch, then mama, and then the count, get sea-sick and at last Jack has Marion alone. Alas, the time has not yet come.
